We love to sing praises to the Lord, and especially when we can join our voices in traditional four-part harmony. Whether we're singing a grand old hymn or a newer gospel favourite,
we want to bring a message of faith and hope to all.

"Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy." Isaiah 52:8a (NIV)

The Watchmen Four group is based out of Abbotsford, BC and Chilliwack, BC. Members of the group attend either
Northview Community Church, Heritage Alliance Church or Chilliwack Alliance Church

Glen

Piano: Glen Cuthbertson
Glen has been playing the piano ever since he could climb up onto the piano bench.  His unique piano arrangements of many favorite hymns have been a blessing to thousands of people at concerts over the years. Currently he is a piano teacher in Chilliwack, as well as a piano tuner/rebuilder. His most recent rebuild was his own 9' Steinway concert grand.  All this in spite of the fact that he is profoundly deaf since birth, requiring hearing aids in both ears.  Compared to the rest of the Watchmen Four, he is also vertically challenged, especially when he has to sit down at the keyboard to keep the others "on key".

Hans_2011

First Tenor: Hans Kruger
Hans has many years of choral music experience. He currently directs a choir  in the Fraser Valley and is well known in the local Christian music scene. And he has been known to tell the odd 'groaner' during practice. Hans is an avid hiker and has trekked through those famous trails in the Alps.

David_2011

Lead: David Nickel
As well as singing the lead part, David arranges most of our music for us - we are fortunate indeed to have his talents to help blend our voices in song through his custom-designed arrangements. Thanks, David.

Randy_2011

Baritone: Randy Raine
Randy currently serves as one of the worship leaders at Heritage Alliance, and has directed the choir there for many years. In addition to singing Baritone, he also plays a mean guitar!

Jim_2011

Bass: Jim Goodwin
Jim is the 'techie' in our group (seems like every group has at least one!) So, if you have suggestions or comments on the techinical stuff for us, talk to him. Oh yeah, and he can sing pretty low-down, too.

Special thanks to our long-suffering spouses: Walli, Ruth, Loree and Dawna who put up with our practicing,  our singing around the house (without the benefit of piano or other quartet members!) and who frequently help us with our logistics, operate our sound systems and sometimes even tell a story or two on-stage.
We couldn't do it without you!
